About Eleanor Dubinsky:

Singer-songwriter, cellist, guitarist and dancer Eleanor Dubinsky was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, but through living and traveling in Europe, Latin and South America and West Africa, found the voice of her own emotionality in the languages and cultures of other nationalities. The New York City based chanteuse speaks French, Spanish, Czech, Portuguese and Italian, but her most fluent communication skills are through music.

Dubinsky has built an impressive profile, especially for an indie artist. In 2010 French Culture Guides named her “Best Up and Coming Francophone Singer in NYC” and her song “Wait For You” won the Sennheiser recording contest at the 2012 ASCAP EXPO. Her songs have been featured on MTV, Lifetime and Animal Planet, ads for American Express, NPR and on radio stations throughout Mexico.  Receiving plaudits from both Spanish and French language publications, she has also made many memorable festival appearances. Highlights have been the 4 + 4 Days of Movement festival in Prague, The International Festival at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for The Performing Arts, the Puerto Morelos Music Festival (Mexico) and concerts in Costa Rica, Portugal, France, Mexico, Colombia, Cape Verde and Senegal.

Eleanor plays regularly in the New York City area at museums, cultural centers and concert venues. She also teaches music to preschool students and performs with Feel The Music, a non-profit organization that brings music and inspiration to children, families and adults impacted by trauma, loss or illness.
